Course Modality

This course equips faculty with the knowledge and skills necessary to implement course modalities that balance online and in-person components. Participants will learn how to structure their Canvas sites to accommodate hybrid modalities, ensuring that both in-person and virtual learners have a seamless and engaging experience. Key concepts include adapting course materials for hybrid learning, accounting for required contact hours across modalities, and incorporating active learning strategies that promote student engagement in both environments. By the end of the course, faculty will be able to design hybrid courses that meet institutional standards, enhance learning outcomes, and effectively integrate technology with face-to-face teaching.
